Imagine an entity from another dimension living inside the internet; the ultimate ghost in the machine, haunting computers and watching humanity through webcams. This is the premise of the Rasterflesh urban legend, an internet-based creepypasta which has been circulating since around 2001. Many of the stories, including a 2008 ARG, sit at an intersection of grassroots indie storytelling, 2000s internet culture, the occult, and anxieties about the harmful potential of the internet. For too long, content related to this urban legend has been lost to time. This site is an archive of everything we've managed to recover related to the Rasterflesh and the events in 2008. I hope this is helpful. If anyone has any additional information or ESPECIALLY if you have an actual archive of the videos please get in touch.
